Driveway Paving in Burtonsville, MD Since 1988

Burtonsville sits in the northeast corner of Montgomery County, right on the border of Howard and Prince George’s counties, a quieter, more suburban stretch of the county than most of our other service areas. A lot of the homes out here were built decades ago, and we see driveways with original bases that have simply reached the end of their life, not from neglect, just from age. We’ve been paving in Burtonsville since our first year in business.

What We Do in Burtonsville

Driveway Paving and Replacement

Burtonsville’s older driveways often need this more than a patch can fix. Full removal, a rebuilt base, and new asphalt laid and compacted properly, not a quick cover-up over a problem that’s already 40 years in the making.

Driveway Widening and Extensions

Need room for a second car or a better turnaround? We tie the new section in so it reads as one continuous surface, not a patchwork addition.

Sealcoating

We match the method to the driveway — oil-based sealer applied under pressure for newer surfaces, latex brushed on by hand for older ones.

Crack Filling and Patching

Small cracks don’t stay small in a driveway this old. We fix them now with hot rubberized sealant so they don’t turn into a bigger repair by next winter.

Resurfacing and Overlay

Not every old driveway needs to come out completely. If the base underneath has held up, we can lay fresh asphalt right over it and save you the cost of a full rebuild. We’ll tell you straight which situation yours is.

Culvert Pipe Replacement

A driveway sinking or pooling water usually means the pipe underneath has failed, not the surface. Most contractors won’t touch this because of the county permit process. We will.

Why Burtonsville Driveways Are Different

A lot of Burtonsville’s neighborhoods were built in the same era, decades ago, which means a lot of the original driveways are reaching the same point in their lifespan around the same time. What looks like a thick, solid base on the surface can turn out to be old and brittle underneath once you actually open it up, especially after 40-plus years of freeze-thaw cycles.

The area also sits near Paint Branch High School, named for the nearby Paint Branch stream that runs through this part of the county, along with Fairland Recreational Park and the Paint Branch Stream Valley Park trail system. Between school traffic and a community that leans heavily on its parks and trails, Burtonsville driveways see steady daily use.

Full Driveway Removal and Regrade for David in Burtonsville

Burtonsville, MD — Completed 2026

What We Found

David’s driveway near Paint Branch High School, 1,210 square feet, had a base that was original to the property, somewhere around 45 years old. It was thick, but four and a half decades of freeze-thaw cycles had left it brittle, and the driveway wasn’t draining the way it should have been.

What We Did

We removed the entire driveway. Once the old base came out, it was clear why it had held on so long despite its age, it was substantial, just old and brittle enough that patching wasn’t a real option anymore. We regraded the area to correct drainage, installed fresh gravel, and laid two full layers of asphalt over it. Started at 9 AM and had the whole job wrapped by 3 PM the same day.

The Result

David got a driveway that actually drains properly, on a base built to last another few decades instead of one already living on borrowed time. One-year workmanship warranty included.

“Mike and crew were very professional and did a great job for us in Burtonsville. They were on time and graded the driveway to ensure drainage, and cleaned up all construction debris. We would highly recommend this company for your paving needs.”
